The HONDO methodology
Connect what you notice, what the evidence shows, and what you decide to do next.

Describe the equipment, the situation, and what has changed.
Bring relevant readings and context into the case.
Explore possible causes, missing information, and uncertainty.
Choose a next step using professional judgment and established procedures.
Check the result and carry the understanding forward.
An explanation should help you reason—not ask you to trust an unexplained answer. HONDO’s direction is to make evidence and uncertainty visible while keeping responsibility with the person doing the work.
A command requests 65% damper opening, but feedback reports 8%. That mismatch gives the worker a specific question to investigate. It does not, by itself, prove whether the actuator, linkage, sensor, or signal is at fault.
Confirm the evidence, follow the approved procedure, and verify the result before closing the case.
